I dont know what suitable title i should put so i guess a smiley should be good enough already. Yesterday 21st september, i went for the 2nd and the last wake for my cousin bro.. Arrived there kinda late and everyone was waiting for us, (cousins younger than him) to start the ceromony. And so when the time came after the chanting sessions by the nuns. I took a final look at him before the coffin was sealed by nails. All of us were not allowed to look as we don't want his soul to feel trapped (ng seh dak) to leave us. Then his coffin was pushed into a hearse and i was given the honour to hold his altar where i will be leading the group of people holding his altar and also as his final journey before being cremated. 4years ago, I still remember me and my cousin bro were given the honour to hold my grandfather's 'altar' and i couldn't believe that today i will be holding his. The feeling is weird as I always felt that he's alive. Then the time came when his coffin is pushed into a big furnace, this time we were able to look as it was our last sign of respect before his coffin being cremated. Then as the flames in the furnace lit up, we bowed and the furnace lid sealed and we can only claim the bones tomorrow.

22nd september 2009

Had a cold bath this morning, as i gotta carry my cousin's urn to his final resting place in a Wat (Siamese temple) Started at 9am, and I was the first to pick any bone that I saw first without choosing and to place in the urn followed by his parents and relatives. Then the rest of the bones were crushed and placed in the urn. Next i had to carry the urn and a long joss stick to signify his soul. And after some chanting by the monks he was placed safely and sealed. Went back to my place after that. Gotta get ready for my exams tomorrow. Tq to all my friends esp for their support. Though it might take some time to recover but i just need the time to do so. =) till my next post..
